Assistant Trainer, Shelby Phillips, started taking lessons with Melissa in 2005.   She interned for M&M in 2008 for a school project and loved how hard she and Melissa worked towards their mutual goals with the horses.  Upon graduation in 2009, Shelby began working for Melissa full time as her assistant trainer.

Shelby has been involved with horses her entire life, beginning formal lessons at 6 and showing locally at the hunter/jumper shows on her pony Luke. Shelby continued to successfully compete in the pony jumpers divisions and eventing until Luke was retired.

Shelby currently teaches, rides and helps oversee the care of client horses at M&M Equestrian.  She also shows various horses in the local and rated hunters/jumpers and enjoys working with horses and their riders to help them learn and improve.
